Course: CHOICES
Unlocking Pathways to Success
The George Brown College Academic Upgrading Division recognized the importance of accessibility and flexibility in education. Seeking to extend the reach of their CHOICES classroom course, designed to assist individuals in transition with career pathways, they turned to eLearnology Inc. to design an eLearning version. Our task was clear: develop a series of 10 eLearning modules that would not only make learning accessible to a broader audience but also enhance the learning outcomes by providing students with a personalized Action Plan to launch their new career path.

CHALLENGE
Our collaboration with George Brown College posed two distinct challenges.
First, the development of an Action Plan feature within Articulate Storyline 360, which did not natively support capturing students’ reflections collected in the course and populating a PDF Action Plan for them to print.
Secondly, we were tasked with enhancing accessibility to open doors to learning for a diverse audience of learners. To ensure inclusivity, we incorporated features such as closed captioning and screen reader compatibility. These additions opened the doors to learning for a diverse audience, making the CHOICES eLearning Modules an accessible and empowering resource for all learners.
SOLUTION
Collaborating with George Brown College, we harnessed the power of eLearning innovation. Our team created 10 immersive modules, each equipped with accessibility features such as closed captioning and screen reader capabilities. These additions make the CHOICES eLearning Modules an accessible and empowering resource for all learners.
To empower learners further, we engaged our web developer to design a seamless API integration. This integration allowed students to capture and store their reflections, responses, and progress throughout the course, culminating in the ability to print a personalized Action Plan upon completion. This innovative feature proved indispensable, enabling learners to not only absorb knowledge but also to implement it, taking meaningful actions towards their career goals.
