Good Foot Delivery provides meaningful employment for the neuro-diverse community through a reliable, professional courier service delivered via public transit and on foot. They strive to incorporate the principles of dignity, independence, integration, and equality of opportunity in all their operations. In keeping with this mission, they trusted eLearnology to develop a comprehensive series of eight modules that would serve as the cornerstone of their onboarding and training program.

CHALLENGE
Our challenge was twofold. First, we had to design eLearning training that immersed new couriers into the world of navigating Toronto's bustling streets efficiently. This required the creation of simulations for the numerous apps couriers used to ensure timely package deliveries. These simulations empowered couriers to practice planning delivery routes, determining the most efficient mode of transportation (whether by foot or transit), and optimizing the order of package drop-offs and pickups.
Secondly, we needed to ensure the course catered to diverse learning needs. Accessibility was paramount. We incorporated closed captioning and screen reader capability to make the content inclusive. Furthermore, we carefully considered the pacing and narration of information to accommodate a diverse range of cognitive abilities, ensuring that every learner could succeed.
SOLUTION
To tackle these challenges, we embarked on a three-day photography and video production journey on the streets of Toronto including TTC buses and subway stations. Capturing this real-world experience provided relevant video and photography content for the project, featuring actual couriers from Good Foot Delivery. These couriers demonstrated all the essential tasks for couriers, from app navigation to efficient route planning.
The result… A custom eLearning course that blended simulations, immersive video demonstrations, and accessibility features. It empowered new couriers with the skills and confidence to navigate Toronto's streets and deliver packages with precision.
